First and Foremost, I am not condoning unhealthy diets and please consult with your doctor before indulging in a journey as this one. Weight loss aren’t easy but they are doable – listen, I am still in this journey and I am hoping to write a lot more articles in the future about fat loss.
How I lost 10+ KGs in 2 Months
What I am about to tell you may shock you and possibly make you think I am sick in the head, I went down from 72KG to 60KG in 2 Months.
MY STARTING POINT JUNE 01: 72KG
AFTER 2 MONTHS OF HARD WORK: 60KG
I am 163 cm (5’35) so BMI allows me to lose weight even further to hit 50KG I’ll still be normal as far as my BMI is concern.
So here’s how I did it.
first thing was How to get rid of my fat belly
Tons of times you’ve heard the same magical words, eat the right kind of food, exercise and drink more water, well, once you have figured how ways to get rid of your fat for good and have probably calculated your calorie intake, it’s most probably the best time to start a new routine.
I have been here before stuck with a fat belly that won’t go away – and when I googled and searched for ways to get rid of my fatbelly, I was always hoping for an easy out. When truth is, getting rid of a fat belly isn’t easy, it’s the first thing to show and last to leave your body. I tried all sorts of methods, from green tea to ginger drink and your lemon…
Truth is, that wasn’t working for me, or if it did, the results were not visible enough. So I did a lot of random exercises, However – CARDIO WORKS BEST.
See, you can’t target a certain body part when you want to lose weight, you have to lose the overall weight, and I did a lot of cardio. Specifically, Treadmill, let it be your bestfriend and start working out, it will do wonders.
Remember, when you start exercising, that only 30% and the 70% is what you eat. Slowly and surely I started seen the results. The fat loss journey isn’t easy, you have to be patient, very patient – I have googed “How to get rid of a fatbelly in a week” – some of which of the information maybe misleading and could forget to tell you how patient you have to be.
I will write an article about how I lost +10KG in two Months, If I did it, anyone could, however, what works for me, can possibly not work for you.
then there was: Counting Calories to lose weight
Eventually, when coming to losing weight you must have some sort of a goal. When I lost 10KGs in 2 months I then realised this was doable and almost too simple, but looking back, it’s not that simple.
To lose half a kilogram, you need to burn about 3,500 calories, that’s a pound. Remember that It takes a 3,500-calorie deficit between calories consumed and calories burned to produce a one–pound drop in body weight.
Losing weight is never an easy journey but it’s doable.
- What are calories ?
- Why count calories ?
- How much calories does the body need to function ?
What are calories ?
According to wiki, Calories are units of energy. Various definitions exist but fall into two broad categories. The small calorie or gram calorie (symbol: cal) is the approximate amount of energy needed to raise the temperature of one gram of water by one degree Celsius at a pressure of one atmosphere.
Okay Let’s not get too deep, Let me put it to you this way, every kind of food has calories, there isn’t food without calories, that would be a lie.
An apple has 52 calories, if it weighs about 100 grams, Apple juice, unsweetened about 46 with the same number of grams, I use an apple as an example because remember the phrase, “An apple a day, keeps a doctor away”.
Why count calories ?
You need to keep count with what you put within you, especially when you want to lose weight -It’s the same when doing exercises, as you need to know the number of sets and reps that works best for you, I’ll keep coming back to this let me discuss > How much calories does the body need to function ?
How much calories does the body need to function ?
To lose weight or not, men needs a minimum of 1,800 calories a day to survive and also to avoid slowing down the metabolism, and women would then need a minimum of 1, 200 calories to survive.
There’s this new thing called knowing your body – Okay I shouldn’t have said that, that way, cause it quite an old thing.
Know your BMI (Body Mass Index (BMI) is a way to determine whether your weight is healthy or not. It is considered a more useful measurement than weight. A BMI result of less than 18.5 suggests you are underweight which can be a health risk. You may need to gain weight.)
To calculate it just divide your weight in kilograms by your height in metres then divide the answer by your height again to get your BMI.
Know your body weight in order for you to know the number of calories to consume in order to maintain or to lose weight.
When it comes to lifting, we all know that protein should be one’s bestfriend, Why do people lift? We all have different reasons – Some want to be lean, Some want to be buff, Some do it for the fun and so they say – but funny enough, no matter the reason, it’s about gains.
Supplements work – when taken right, with the right kinds of food. The supplements products I’d recommend are USN Products (WHEY PROTEIN, PHEDRA CUT products), Remember that they may have side effects like nausea, headache and feeling terrible the whole day, it’s always best to consult your doctor before taking any supplements.
I didn’t consult and I had those side effects and the 2nd month I was all cleared and didn’t feel any headache or nausea, I was ready to conquer the world.
Weight Lifting requires very nutritious food. I know we often put Protein First but we also have to consider other nutrients, like those found on WHEY PROTEIN POWDER and Vegetables – White Meat and so on.
Drinking a lot of water, also helps when it comes to building muscles, but it is said most often that more gains are gained when you rest at least 8 hours and also muscles may take 48 hours to build.
All these changes and gains takes time, so it also best to be patient.
